Accessibility

Last reviewed 3 October 2026.

We want everyone to be able to visit rowdygoat.com and play our games, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on this website.

What we do

  • Pages use real headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link, and every control works with a keyboard.
  • Images have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and buttons are designed for strong contrast, and tap targets are at least 44 pixels.
  • The website pages have no parallax or autoplaying video, and we honour your device’s reduced-motion setting.
  • Pages reflow on small screens and allow pinch-zoom.
  • We check each release by hand on phone and desktop sizes, plus automated checks.

Known limitations

  • The games themselves draw to a canvas. The playing field relies on sight and quick timing, and it is not yet usable with a screen reader.
  • Some game screens turn off pinch-zoom while you play, so zooming doesn’t fight the touch controls. The website pages around them can still be zoomed.
  • The games don’t have sound captions or remappable controls yet.

Compatibility

The site is built for current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop, iPhone and Android. The games need JavaScript; the website pages read fine without it.
